What makes a good disco-club? For most people, it has to be music, for without music, it wouldn't be a disco

club!!

Sax II has seen many Dj's come and go over

its eight year history but the recent new arrival into the Dj Box has been

a young 18 years old from Portugal.

Dj. Nelson has created quite a stir in

Sax II with his hands-on approach to

Dj-ing.

So what is Dj Nelson's story and what

are we to expect from Sax II over the

summer months?

Dj. Nelson began experimenting with

music about four years ago at the age

of fourteen.He played at several private

parties, discos and school functions in

lisbon and even began Dj-ing in disco-

theques such as "Versatil" situated in

sesimbra, between Setubal and Lisbon.

There's more to Dj-ing than just playing

a bunch of Cd's and Dj Nelson has been

integrating vinyl effects into his music

for a year and a half and continues to do so.When he first arrived in Gibraltar

he was keen to get into the music scene

and four months ago, began Dj-ing once

a week at Sax II.

At the beginning of March, he started

full-time as Sax II resident Dj. three days a week.
