are the Arms and Motto as sent by officials in Gibraltar to
the Colonial Office in London in 1870. |
| It was
designed to form part of the Governor's flag and was placed
at the centre of a Union Jack surrounded by a green garland. |
| It
was not a popular design locally - though the motto was accepted
as the motto for Gibraltar. |
