The Anglican Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity is both a parish church and the mother church of the Diocese in Europe.
In 2005 we joined the Diocese in celebrating its Silver Jubilee and also celebrated 100 years since the appointment of the first Dean of Gibraltar. (Pictures in Gallery, page 2).
The Cathedral clergy and congregation mourn the death of the Reverend Tom Heffer and Bishop Ambrose Weekes who died on 23rd and 24th April respectively.
Bishop Ambrose was formerly Dean of Gibraltar and was Chaplain at Tangiers, Brussels and Montreux, and Suffragan Bishop in the Diocese from 1977 to 1986. The funeral of Bishop Ambrose is planned for Thursday 10 May at 6.30 p.m. at All Saints, Margaret Street, London.
Fr Tom was Secretary General to the Mission to Seafarers (MtS) and regarded with great affection in Gibraltar. We hold Fr Tom's wife, Roz, daughter Abi and his family in our prayers. Funeral arrangements and details of a memorial service will be announced by the MtS on their website, www.misiontoseafarers.org in due course.

Rock of Ages Campaign
The Rock of Ages Campaign was offically launched at the Cathedral on Thursday 16 November 2006.
The Cathedral needs to raise £850,000 to replace its roof, build an enhanced entrance onto the Cathedral Square to improve access for both churchgoers and tourists and to fund a number of other necessary conservation and restoration measures.
